The Symposium for Religious Teachers and the Credential Award Ceremony for Perlis State Religious Teachers at Dewan Warisan, Kangar, on the 19th of November 2024 also marked the launch of the latest publication by the Perlis State Mufti Department, titled Introduction to Legal Maxims (Mukadimah Kaedah Fiqhiyyah.
The book launch was officiated by His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, the Crown Prince of Perlis. Authored by Sheikh Ahmad Fauwaz Fadzil, the book is an intellectual contribution that offers a profound understanding of principles of Islamic jurisprudence, a fundamental element in Islamic thought that shapes the understanding of Shariah rulings.
The publication of this book was fully sponsored by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) as part of its initiative to disseminate religious knowledge to the wider community.
Introduction to Legal Maxims is available at the Perlis State Mufti Department or through its official website. This launch is hoped to greatly benefit religious teachers (asatizah) and the general public by deepening their understanding of fiqh principles in both theoretical and practical contexts.
The symposium not only strengthens knowledge but also reflects Perlis’ ongoing efforts to champion excellence in Islamic education.
